Intro Post
This here be my shrine to slash fiction. That’s boi-on-boi butt-smex for those of you who didn’t know. If you find that kind of thing offensive, kindly exercise your personal liberty of freedom of choice and fuck off now. Thank you for your cooperation.

Still here?

Okay then let me tell you about my number one kink: twincest. Yes kiddies, that means I like the idea of monozygotic siblings of the boi-boi variety engaging in aforementioned butt-smex with each other. If you find that kind of thing offensive... well you get the idea.

If you’re still reading, welcome!

If you’d like to be friended, please leave a comment with your who-what-where-why so I have some idea of who I’m adding. It feels too much like inviting strangers into my house otherwise. Sorry, but I’m paranoid like that. Below the cut, you’ll find a summary of the trends and types of ficcage you can expect to find on here, along with links to the main attractions.

Happy reading!

~MY STUFF~

ORIGINAL FICTION

Double Helix is the story of identical twins, Josh and Victor Hartigan, and how they go about adding the “cest” to their relationship. I’m kind of proud of this story, even if I do say so myself. From the location (urban England), to the characterisation (twins with distinctive personalities) to the plot (character-driven with a couple of angsty twists and turns on the road to happily-ever-after), it’s got all of the things I love to see when I’m reading something. Check out the Reader Responses for confirmation.

HARRY POTTER FANFICTION

Love: A Chronicle is my take on the not-so-brotherly (a.k.a. smutty) side of Fred and George’s relationship pre-Hogwarts to post-War. I’m trying to keep the Hogwarts Era bits as canon-compliant as possible, but the series will ultimately become AU.

Haunted is Chronicle’s more angsty counterpart: Slytherin centric, not quite as heavy on the smut and AU from the onset, but if you like angst and psych with the occasional dash of H/C, then you’ll love this.

Strictly speaking, it’s not necessary to read one series to follow the other, but there will be cross-referencing in later chapters.

The timeline goes something like this: Haunted: Fated, Chronicle: Change, Chronicle: Different, Chronicle: Consummation, Chronicle: OWLs, Haunted: Ghosts, Chronicle: Morning Musings, Haunted: Choices.

The following HP ficlets have also been posted: Eye of the Beholder, To the Victor.

~OTHER PEOPLE’S STUFF~

I have a Recs List going which can be found here. I add as I read, so watch this space for updates.

~FESTS AND REQUESTS~

WHAT I LIKE

If you make me believe it, then chances are I’ll love it. For clarity’s sake though, here’s a rundown of my absolute faves:

Gen

Humans: (young)Tom Riddle, Remus, Eileen, Petunia, Andromeda, (post-War)Dudley.

Creatures: Dobby, familiars, gnomes, the ghoul in the attic.

Pairings

OTPs: Fred/George, Severus/Harry.

Slash: (pre-Snarry)Severus/Regulus, (pre-Snarry)Twins/Harry, Sirius/James, Albus/Gellert, Theodore/Anyone, Blaise/Anyone, Percy/not Oliver, Charlie/not Bill.

Het: Ron/Hermione, Dean/Ginny, Lee/Angelina.

Non-Con/Dub-con: Greyback/Anyone, Barty Jr./Anyone, McNair/Anyone, Lucius/Anyone, Bellatrix/Anyone, (pre-Snarry)Sirius/Severus, Rabastan/Regulus, (pre-Snarry)Severus/Alecto.

Kinks

Story Aspects: EWE, H/C, SWS (smut with substance), Muggle interaction, contextualisation (references Magical History, political climate etc), non-sexual intimacy (between couples), candid moments, emotion that’s sincere and believable, all-round ICness, character-driven storylines.

Fetishes: Boys with long hair, secret relationships, subtle D/s, UST, toys, anal, voyeurism, doggie style, really smutty dirty talk.

Characterisation and Dynamics

Fred/George: Re-Fredding, soulmateness, little idiosyncrasies, dom!George, business banter, spontaneous desperate need-you-right-now Burrow/dorm room/broom closet sex.

Severus/Harry: Post-War, angst, nervous breakdowns, casual sex that becomes something more, non-Auror!Harry, dom!Snape.

Slytherins: Pureblood haughtier, scheming, androgyny, daddy issues.

Marauders: Less-than-wholesome undercurrents, psycho!Sirius, narcissistic!James, obviously werewolf!Remus (animal senses, instincts etc), jaded!Lily, pureblood politics.

WHAT I AVOID

There are exceptions to all rules, except this one: I will not read anything mentioning dead!Fred or anything ending in a Harry/Ginny happily-ever-after. I don’t care if it’s so brilliant and convincing that JKR decides to alter canon to incorporate it. If Freddie ain’t around and the Boi-Who-Lived isn’t a swirling ball of sexually confused angst then I am not interested. And yeah, I’m perfectly aware of how OCD that is, but well, that just brings us back to personal liberties.

A couple more things that tend to trigger my gag reflex are:

Pairings

Slash: Gryffindor/Gryffindor (i.e. no Dean/Seamus, Percy/Oliver, Remus/Sirius etc), Draco/Severus, Draco/Harry (I just like them too much as rivals to see them kiss and make up), Ron/Anyone (sorry, but Ronnikins is my quintessential straight guy).

Het: Severus/Lily (i.e. as a couple), George/Angelina, Ron/not Hermione.

Femslash: Slytherin/Anyone, Gryffindor/Anyone.

Squicks

Story Aspects: Implausibility (i.e. using blood/glue/nothing at all as lube and the bottom actually getting off, every male member of the cast being gay, abuse sequences where ribs are broken/windpipes get crushed/organs are ruptured and the character just “sucks it up,” the Weasleys having incest as a “family tradition” etc), OOCness (without any explanation), gratuitous character bashing, Americanisation (i.e. “pants” as an outer garment, exclamations of “awesome” or “dude,” “bangs” instead of “fringe,” celebrating Thanks Giving, hot dogs, playing “soccer” instead of “football” etc.), non-magical AU, hopeless tragedy, saccharine eye-roll-inducing fluff.

Anti-Kinks: Threesomes (unless I’m in the mood), open relationships (I have jealousy issues, sue me), infidelity (except between Death Eaters, Slytherins or James with Sirius), m-preg, fisting, sounding, felching, vomit, scat or necrophilia (which means that water sports and beast and bondage and blood and underage and incest are okay as long as it makes sense for the fic).

Characterisation and Dynamics

Fred/George: Top Ten Tweasley Peeves.

Snape/Harry: Sub!Snape, old!Snape, humourless!Snape, chan, well-adjusted!Harry.

Purebloods: Noble!James/Sirius/Slytherins, dumb/craven/pointlessly nympho!Regulus, dom!Draco.
